Woodside Academy will move to remote learning for most pupils from Tuesday 5th January for 6 weeks until the February half term.

Remote learning will be available for all pupils from Tuesday 5th January.

All learning tasks will be available via your child's Google Classroom account and further details regarding quantity of learning, teacher feedback, a parent user guide to access Google Classroom will be made avaialble.  Children will have access to identical learning activities whether they are learning from home or eligible for on-site learning.

On-site provision for children of critical workers and the most vulnerable will be opened as soon as possible and once staff testing has taken place.

School staff will be making regular contact with all children who are currently learning remotely.

Current government guidance states:

'If the parent of a special school pupil wishes for their child to be absent from school, the parent should let the school know in advance that the pupil will not be attending and that they are making an application for a leave of absence.'
