The Book Trust
Online activities and resources for children
BookTrust is dedicated to supporting schools, and raising morale in the best way they know how - by reading! They have introduced HomeTime, a new digital hub that can be accessed by everyone. The hub is packed full of free books, videos, games, recipes, competitions, quizzes and much more. Plus, watch readings and draw-a-longs with celebrated children's authors and illustrators.
Amazon Audible
Amazon has canceled the subscription of books and audio stories for children and students of all ages as long as schools are closed, children everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.
All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet using the following link
David Walliams books
For the next 30 days, David Walliams books are available as free audio books. These are really entertaining and popular books, so worth listening to. Hearing a story is valuable in itself, but your child might like to do some accompanying art work or writing. They could write a review, saying what they liked best, and if they would recommend the book to a friend.

It normally costs £9.99 per month to join Carol Vordeman's maths website, but it is free whilst schools are closed. There are plenty of games and activities available, but please do make sure that you and your child choose the level which is right for them, looking at targets and work set by the class teacher for guidance.
