Welcome to Woodside Academy - part of London South East Academies Trust

We are a special academy serving children from 4-19 years with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and moderate learning needs. All of our pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). All new admissions require a confirmed diagnosis of Autism (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).

Woodside Academy has a welcoming, calm and purposeful environment where learning is tailored to the needs of each individual child. Our mission is to seek excellence for each and every child so that they leave school equipped and empowered to succeed in life.

Our pupils are supported by therapy teams including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and physiotherapy. The therapists work alongside staff teams to ensure that all children and young people's needs are fully supported.

We also have a pastoral team with a pastoral support worker who works with families and supports them through difficult and challenging times.

We work in close partnership with other schools within LSEAT and Bexley. This enables us to make meaningful links with other educational environments, enriching the provision on offer to our children and gives us the opportunity to share best practice and strengthen educational links across the region.

Welcome to our website and do visit our virtual tours. To find out more then please make contact with the school office.
