Welcome to our school

Welcome from our headteacher Kathryn Freame

Welcome to Woodside Academy!

Our popular special academy offers provision for autistic 4-19-year-olds with a wide range of learning needs including complex needs. All of our learners have an Education Health and Care Plan, (EHCP), and a diagnosis of autism. We are all ambitious for each individual all of the time and value  trust, honesty, respect and kindness. Our calm, welcoming and purposeful environment ensures that children and young people are happy and confident and can therefore make the most of every opportunity to learn.

At Woodside children of all ages succeed and achieve and develop greater independence and autonomy as they journey through the school. We are building a community of learners, fully inclusive of the most disadvantaged, who are resilient, independent, creative and kind. We welcome and celebrate diversity and are inclusive to all.
